Editorial and corrections policy
Child support is the money a child is fed, housed and clothed with. So we say where our figures come from, who answers for them, and what happens when one is wrong.
Responsibility
Content and calculations are the responsibility of Radif Partners. Contact: contact@calculdivorce.fr.
Primary sources only
No figure is copied from another calculator, article or forum. Each parameter comes from an official publication:
- the Ministry of Justice (justice.fr) for the reference table and its subsistence amount;
- service-public.fr for the ASF, RSA, indexation, arrears and tax rules;
- the CAF and ARIPA for the payment intermediation service;
- the French tax administration for the income tax scale and deduction caps.
The parameter file carries source, source_url and retrieved_at for every block.
Tests before publishing
Several full rows of the official table (€700, €1,500, €2,000, €2,300) and service-public.fr’s worked examples run on every build. A one-cent gap blocks publication.
Update cycle
A full review at least every 12 months, and at each uprating: RSA and ASF on 1 April, income tax scale with the finance act, INSEE indices monthly. The date shown on pages comes from the parameter file.
Handling errors
- Check against the primary source.
- Fix the data or code and add a test so the error cannot return.
- New date on the page; if a published result was materially wrong, the correction is flagged on the page.
Independence
We sell no contacts to lawyers, mediators or organisations, and accept no payment for a mention. Any link with an organisation named would be stated in the text.
Limits
Results are estimates based on the reference table, which judges are not bound to follow. Limits are listed in the methodology.
